Create a CustomerClickActivities collection

  1. After you created and saved the integration, click on the button in the upper right-hand corner, Create Collection from Integration:

2. Input the collection details [red boxes]:

  • Collection Name: CustomerClickActivities

  • Workspace: kafkaWorkshop

  • Integration: CustomerActivities

  • Kafka Topic: user_activity

  • Starting offset: earliest

  • Format: JSON

You’ll see the source preview [blue box] on the far right; this is the preview of the Kafka data.

🛑 Don't create the collection just yet- we're going to be doing some SQL transformations in the next section.
